Promoting Indigenous students to become health professionals. This interactive, online story involved rural, remote Indigenous high school students in role-playing and connecting with the role models of Indigenous health professionals.

Challenges

• Lack of Indigenous health professionals in the work force.
• Lack of Indigenous role models for youth.
• Low self-esteem and self-confidence of Indigenous students.

Achievements

• Documentation on working lives of Indigenous health professionals.
• Remote students gained an in-depth understanding of different health careers.
• Students formed a social network before meeting face to face.
